"concert"

the mayor invited me to a "concert" - that was at least the chinese term used for it - on the evening of the dragon boat festival. niki from gramastetten/shanghai was here for the weekend, too, and we both didn't really get what the concert was about. apparently the local government had invited some boao people and a few vips to attend a kind of talk show about the last 10 years of pop music on hainan island. everybody in the audience got fluorescent sticks to play with, and nobody seemed to pay attention to what was going on on stage. mhm. we left early.
